ha! Love this post as I’ve totally been through that conversation as well, including the crickets.
I actually had a policeman stop and ask me what I was doing once…I was photographing a public sign with my new macro lens. My explanation didn’t seem to convince him…I finally decided it would just be easier to go find another area!
