Are musical notes relative or constant?

Musical notes can be thought of as both relative and constant. On one hand, musical notes are relative in that they are interpreted differently by different people. Everyone has their own interpretation of the same musical note. On the other hand, musical notes are constant in that they are always the same pitch regardless of how they are interpreted. This means that every person will hear the same note even if they interpret it differently. Ultimately, musical notes are an interesting combination of both relative and constant elements.
