Abstractions of Time

I was wandering through files of images; something I usually do each night, looking for inspiration when I found a couple in this series…

Again, as I mentioned in my earlier post (Nature Collages) nature has done all the work  – I was just fortunate enough to be paying attention to see it.

Could this not look any more like an artist’s canvas?

But, of course it IS an artist’s canvas – not one artist but many.  Man, nature and time all had their hand in this one and the effect is beautiful.

It is always so easy to find inspiration where time and nature collaborate.  And one of my favorites is downtown areas of older cities.  In most cases you can literally stand in one spot and just turn to find it wherever you point the camera.

The artist’s world is limitless…

it can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away.  It is always on his doorstep. – – Paul Strand
